PRESENTATION

Conservators, scientists and museum professionals interested or specializing in the conservation of leather and related materials are invited to participate in the upcoming 11^th Interim Meeting of the ICOM-Conservation Committee - Leather and Related Materials Working Group.

The aim is to share recent conservation experiences, current projects and research initiatives, as well as new or innovative solutions regarding the conservation of leather and related materials such as parchments, skins, hides and furs. Talks presenting successes, challenges, particular problems (case studies), useful protocols and techniques, and cautionary tales are also sought.

DATES & LOCATION

The conference will take place on 6 and 7 June 2019 at the Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac (Ethnographic museum) in Paris, France. Visits to museum collections, storage and workshop will be organised on 5 June 2019.

LANGUAGE

Communications will be in French or English with simultaneous translation.

The Postprints for the ICOM-CC Leather Working Group Interim Meeting are accessible on Lulu.com. You can either download the ebook for free or order a printed copy. Individual articles will soon be available on the ICOM-CC Online Publications Platform.
